Since Earth Day 2015, Parley for the Oceans and adidas have been championing sustainability within the sportswear space. In addition to delivering stylish footwear and apparel made in part from recycled ocean plastic, the collaborators have reached new heights in terms of performance product.
Building on the research and development they’ve experienced over the last seven years, Parley and adidas have recently unveiled the Adizero running shoe. The Three Stripes continues to offer other shoes under the “Adizero” banner, but Parley’s latest collaborative project focuses on sustainability unlike any other performance running product from adidas. A lightweight mesh upper and Lightstrike midsole work in-tandem on both the eco-friendly – upper’s yarn containing at least 50% Parley Ocean Plastic and 50% recycled polyester, resulting in 60% less emissions per pair than previous versions – and performance front. The “Core Black/Grey Five/Pulse Blue” colorway that takes over the Parley x Adizero Shoes keep things simple and understated.
