Taking a turn for the throwback, the Nike Air Huarache — the legendary Tinker Hatfield running shoe that recently celebrated its 30th Anniversary — nods to the digital world of past decades with a dated graphic on the neoprene upper. Shedding the typical monochromatic toe-box and interior bootie, Nike adds pixelated imagery typical of lower-resolution computer screens and gaming.
Various text and/or HTML as well as enlarged images, although completely obscured by way of low resolution, capture the neophytic days of the internet. The NIKE logo on the insole also shares the pixelated format, as does the color-heavy portion of the heel. The overlays appear to be standard leather, while the rubber heel clip is colored in a translucent volt yellow. Finally, a cluster of Swoosh logos can be found at the forefoot.
This women’s release is set to release during the Summer/Fall seasons, so check out the official images ahead.
