2022 is halfway over, and Nike is not yet through celebrating the Air Force 1. Helping lead the shoe’s 40th Anniversary to its climax, this newest colorway — whose tongue is stamped with “Anniversary Edition” — channels good, positive vibes through both its palette and messaging.
“Feel Free, Let’s Talk” sets the tone for the shoe, painted bold across the pair’s back heel. This green and blue text stands out heavily against the light pink upper, whose Swooshes — which are built with cracked leathers — alternate between red/blue and orange/green color schemes. elsewhere, the sole features a deep yellow shade and hand-written “AIR” branding; the lace unit is clad in off-white hues, and the sockliner features the aforementioned message one one side and a quickly drawn Swoosh on the other.
