Gore-Tex tooling has become all the rage this upcoming holiday season as New Balance continues to dress its heralded 2002R silhouette in the weather-resistent tooling. Furthering the indigo accents of its counterparts, the latest extension of the greyscale spectrum employs a dominant “Castlerock” outfit.
Pre-worn suede overlays anchor the silhouette in typical fashion, extending the aforementioned light grey hue in slight difference to the faded olive overlays that fill the vamp. Underneath, “Natural Indigo” works its way into the overall proposition through its mesh base and tongue construction, providing a cool contrast to the tonal composition while coming affixed with a dark navy blue “N” insignia. The N-ERGY branded midsole proffers a “Brushed Nickel” scheme underfoot while navy, grey and black collide for the concessionary embellishments along the tread.
Expected to release within the coming weeks, in the meantime enjoy official images of the New Balance 2002R Gore-Tex “Castlerock” below.
