Plenty of women (pretend to) hate players, but it is 2010, and Nike looks to change that in a very specific way. The new Nike Player is a hightop shoe that may as well be a special edition Blazer High. The overall shape is nearly identical, from the silhouette down to the old school logo on the heel. What’s changed, then, is the upper is split into two pieces, which should make for some interesting colorblocking patterns, but it’s at the expense of that old swooping Swoosh. The sole is also updated, a ridged vulc material similar to some premium Vans releases. The first three drops are very simple, each featuring two-tone construction. The volt and white pairs should be in shortly, as NikeStore is already selling the club purple/white joints.
