It’s been nearly seven months since The Swoosh teamed up its lifestyle archives with the brand’s on-court roster, having imbued everything from the Cosmic Unity 2 to the Nike Blazer in the “Just Do It” collection last winter. Following the appearance of an unbeknownst neon green tongue tab atop the Nike Zoom G.T. Cut 2 in late May, the Nike Air Force 1’s recently unveiled matching motif signals the brand’s latest thematic assortment of footwear.
Inspired by the technical details that run rife throughout the game of basketball, an X’s and O’s neon/black tongue tab connects the silhouette to its Zoom Air cushioned counterpart. Elsewhere, the model looks to a dominant “Sail” treatment that wraps across the flat leather upper while a netted detailing attributed to the mid-foot panel and heel tab executes the feeling of a perfect swish. Further on-court finishes appear across the pebble grain greyscale Swooshes meant to mimic the bumpy touch of a basketball. A seldom orange accent is stitched within the midsole too, adding to the pair’s hoops mystique while a golden metallic dubrae injects a complementary palette to the upper’s blank canvas.

In other news from the Beaverton-based brand, we recently received our first look at the upcoming Air Jordan 6 Low “PSG” that utilizes a dark grey and orange color blocking.
