The Nike Zoom Freak 5 Embarks On An “Alphabet Bros” Installment

Growing up in Greece, Giannis Antetokounmpo and his brothers became synonymous with the nickname “Alphabet Soup”, due to the difficulty those within the coastline country had with pronouncing their last name. Dating back to his first signature silhouette, the “Alphabet Bros” colorway has remained a routine installment within the two-time League MVP’s signature discography.

After treating the cost-effective Giannis Immortality 3 to the latter’s unique detailing, the Zoom Freak 5 now dresses in a matching burgundy-based outfit. Drawing upon the exact same color palette as the Immortality series, a persistent “Dark Team Red” hue consumes the entirety of the upper – from the mesh base to the stitched leather overlay and tongue construction. In contrast, a warm cream tone envelops the midsole, medial side of the tongue and the heel’s Nike Air branding while an opposing pastel-based lilac hue treats the inner heel’s swoosh and the right foot’s laces. What’s more, the assemblage of letters from the alphabet is strewn about the profile swoosh in a much more reserved fashion when compared to its predecessors.

Enjoy an official look at the Nike Zoom Freak 5 “Alphabet” below as we await the pair’s release on November 11th.

For more on-court efforts, the KD 16 “Aunt Pearl” was recently released.
