The New Balance 991v2 Appears In Classic “Navy”

Introduced with the help of Stone Island, the New Balance 991v2 has immediately gotten notable attention across the globe. Its familiar, but updated design has made it one of the more exciting models to look out for, and its newly-surfaced navy makeup suggests the Made in UK trainer is ready to satisfy demand.

As was expected, the sneaker’s inaugural general release took on a grayscale arrangement, a nod to the original New Balance 991 from 2001. Like its predecessor, the NB 991v2 is produced in Flimby, Cumbria, United Kingdom, but the sequel marks the first time a pair from the 990 series has been independently designed and built in the UK. Visually, the model resembles the 22-year-old NB 991, but overlays throughout the upper are laid out in a different manner. Premium materials reprise their role on New Balance‘s latest flagship design shipped from overseas, including FuelCell cushioning underfoot. The choice in sole unit solution marks the biggest change from the first style, which helped usher in visible ABZORB foam at the forefoot and rear foot. The two-of-the-line cushioning maintains its standard blue hue, which complements the deep navy upper well.

Enjoy detailed photos of the next New Balance 991v2 ahead. No firm new balance.com launch date has been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change before 2023 ends. The shoe is priced at $250 USD.
