The Nike Air Force 1 Next Nature Doubles Down In “Oil Green”

A semi-standard AF1 to make your everyday wardrobe more sustainable.

The Nike Air Force 1 Next Nature Doubles Down In “Oil Green”

The Nike Air Force 1 Next Nature has quietly gotten a pretty big push out of Oregon as we’ve truly gotten into the 2024 slate. It’s no huge surprise that the eco-friendly program has taken to one of the sneaker giant’s trademark models, so even amid an unflinching, constant stream of new looks, the “Oil Green” AF1 stands out with a mix of classic sensibility and forward-thinking construction.

At the risk of belaboring the point early, there aren’t a ton of surprises when looking at how the Air Force 1 “Oil Green” are laid out. A dominant shade on the leather upper and overlays alongside contrast tones in the sole, Swoosh and tongue tag is more-or-less the default AF1 colorblocking at this point.

Yet the orthodox layout perhaps indicates Nike’s intentions to roll out the Next Nature program in easy-to-wear styles, aiding consumers in making their closet staples easier on the planet. Finally, while from a distance, the lower third of this sneaker reads as a standard white-out midsole, small speckles hint towards the recycled construction in the rubber.

As a wide Nike release, it’s unlikely the Air Force 1 “Oil Green” will receive a specific release date. Instead, look for these at local retailers, online and of course on the Nike website in the coming weeks. Expect a $115 price point.

Elsewhere for Nike, the Nike Air Max Dn “Triple Black” presents a nocturnal addition to the company’s newest flagship shoe.
