Following a collaborative opening act that enlisted beloved NB partners Joe Freshgoods and Aime Leon Dore, the New Balance 1000 is officially here. In the time since those collabs, for the Y2K-era model have been conservatively metered out, meaning many of the first GRs that hit the internet haven’t yet made their way to the public. That changes when the New Balance 1000 in “Pink/Tan,” leaked to wide acclaim and once reported as an ALD pair, drops on September 19th.
Sporting a layered top-to-bottom split between cream, green & pink, this edition of the NB 1000 exemplifies a common color-blocking scheme we’ve seen in recent memory, officially kicked off with the “Green/Grey” and recently re-upped with the “Gray/Cream.” There’s no question that this application is the most eye-catching of that crowd, however, the sheer contrast between the trio of primary colors making this pair stand out on its own and also relative to the typically tonal New Balance universe. Notes of brown on the mid & outsole as well as outlining the midfoot N logo close out the palette, while the typical tech combo of leather, mesh & suede handles this shoe materially.
The New Balance 1000 “Pink/Tan” hits NewBalance.com and partnering retailers on September 11th, commanding a $150 MSRP upon arrival. We’ll keep this article and our Sneaker Release Dates hub updated with direct shopping links closer to the drop, but for now, check out official images just below.
