Nike typically releases a few “mini-series” every year, often introducing fresh branding in the process. Currently, the Beaverton brand has been embracing the moniker “Be The One” on its lifestyle classics, a clear allusion to the brand’s fierce competitive nature. Following the release of Air Force 1 “Be The One” colorways this summer, the collection will pick up where it left off on the Dunk Low come Holiday 2024.
The key feature of “Be The One” shoes is a circular, metallic tongue stamp with the title of the pack and winking smiley face graphic, a clever play on a recurring Nike insignia. That same branding also appears on the inner tongue, albeit in rubber, while the backtab is decorated by stitched, multicolored, serif “Nike” text on top of a traditional screen-printed logo. Otherwise, compared to the aforementioned Air Force 1s, the rest of the shoe is completely different.
While branded touches add uniqueness, the defining feature of the Dunk Low “Be The One” exists on the midsole. In similar vein to the Off-White x Jordan 2 Low, the bottom portion sports an aged, crumbling aesthetic. A distressed “Safety Orange” leather Swoosh and backtab bring a like-minded vintage feel up top, as do sun-faded laces. Otherwise, “Wheat” nubuck overlays and a “Coconut Milk” leather base cap off the delivery.
Currently, the Dunk Low “Be The One” is expected to release during the Holiday 2024 shopping season for $115. Scroll through official images below and return periodically to our Sneaker Release Dates page for further updates.
