Now in his second season has head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes and coaching his son Shedeur to a potential first-overall selection in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, Deion Sanders is once again the talk of the sports town — and the chatter is about to get louder.
The former two-sport professional athlete just revealed a number of footwear options that’ll see action in this current season, including on-field cleat versions of the Air Diamond Turf in Home and Away iterations.
However, what caught our eye was the first official look at the upcoming Air Diamond Turf “49ers”, the first-ever and arguably most iconic sneaker in Sanders’ tenure with Nike. Originally dropping in 1993, these Deion Sanders shoes are due out for a Retro release next year; it features true-to-specs features via the markings on the tongue and heel, although the mesh netting on the mid-foot strap isn’t as gold-tinted as one might expect.
The re-release of this icon is sure to be followed by a number of new colorways that touch on the original 1993 run as well as some modern interpretations.
This highly anticipated Retro is expected to launch on February 12th, 2025 for $150. days after Super Bowl LIX.
