In the 1989 sequel to the blockbuster ‘Back To The Future’ franchise, Marty McFly shoots forward into the future – the year 2o15 to be exact – to save his family once again. During his brief stay in the future, Marty McFly is given a pair of the Nike Mag, a futuristic Nike shoe that features a hands-free lacing system and a design never seen before. Originally just a prop in the movie, the Nike Mag became one of the most memorable easter eggs of film, and Nike fans around the world have been patiently waiting for a possible release of the shoe. We’re just half a decade away from 2015 but here in 2010, the Nike Mag can be yours; online memorabilia site Profiles in History will be auctioning off the original Nike Mag prop used in the Back To The Future II film, and the auctioneers have estimated the value of this item between $12,000 and $15,000. Take a look at the detailed images of this artifact of Nike history and let us know what you think a the winning bid will be!
