Nike ACG is approaching it’s 20th anniversary and the folks in Beaverton couldn’t be more excited about the special occasion. With more and more energy being devoted to the ACG team than ever before, they are returning the favor to the consumer via a couple new products. First up is the Nike ACG Blazer that uses fabric created especially for this project by Pendelton. The Blazer took the classic look of the Nike Blazer and removed it’s Autoclave midsole and replaced it with phylon and an Air unit to add extra comfort to the shoe while still maintaining the Blazer’s original silhouette. Next up for the ladies is the Valenki shoe that uses no solvents on the shoe, resulting in an environmentally friendly shoe that sticks to some of what Nike is striving to achieve with their Considered program. In addition to the two shoes Nike will also be releasing some speical pieces to compliment the footwear such as a jacket, blanket, and backpack. Additionally be on the lookout for a Nike Flywire ACG boot. To read more on how this special project came about, read up on the interview with Andrea Cordini of Nike ACG at Sneaker Freaker.
