Trailing the release of the Vans Mountain Edition Weather-Resistant collection which featured that great Sk8-Hi colorway with the red and black flannel collar, the functional and weather-centric theme carries on into the holiday season. Today, the Mountain Edition brings forth more weather combative footwear with an emphasis on stability, traction, and elevated outdoor aesthetics. Consisting of eight colorways in all, the first portion of the offering entails the Era MTE, Sk8-Hi MTE and introducing the Old Skool MTE, classics draped in earth tones signifying their foundation rooted in terrain, while outfitted in pig suede, leather and wool. Secondly, the extensive collection reaches into the Vans California collection to reveal the Mid Skool MTE CA and Old Skool MTE CA – both with heavy boot-inspiration fitted in leather and nubuck married to hiking laces and metal eyelets. And lastly, bringing up the rear is the Surf collection. The Aldrich MTE, Fairhaven MTE and Mid Slip MTE are donned in water repellent suede lined with fleece for a comfortable, and relaxed fit. Vans‘ Mountain Edition Footwear collection retails from $65 to $110 USD and is available now at select retailers and online.
