The mid-2000s era of shiny, patent leather Air Force 1s is making a minor comeback of sorts. This Monday, a day after Easter Sunday, Nike Sportswear is bringing back the Air Force 1 Low “Easter” that originally released in 2005. Featuring soft pastel tones in patent leather and a cracked egg featured on the custom tongue, the Air Force 1 Low “Easter” was one of the more sought-after sneakers of ’05 – so much so that Nike spawned a sequel with slightly different colors in 2006.
Color-blocking trends have shifted immensely to tonal, neutral colors, so there’s no questioning the sneaker’s ability to stand out. Cop your pair on April 17th at select Nike Sportswear retailers and check our sneaker release dates page to see what other Easter-themed shoes are dropping alongside these.
