Nike And Kobe Bryant Apply Color Theory And The Mamba Mentality To The Kobe A.D. Mid

Nike Kobe Ad Mid

What is the Mamba Mentality? We’ve heard it used during Kobe’s playing days and most recently (and infamously) by Lavar Ball, who used it as a reason why Lonzo wore Nike Kobes and excelled during a Summer League game. We all know Kobe is cut from a different cloth; he approaches the game in such a cerebral way that only the elite can perceive, but all of us have a bit of that Mamba Mentality in us.

The five colors of the Mamba Mentality are blue (honesty), red (passion), grey (detached), purple (fearless), and yellow (optimism), and these are the emotions that Kobe Bryant has meshed to form his own elevated perspective on basketball – and why he’s retired with five Championship rings.

The Kobe A.D. Mid is the third iteration of the Kobe A.D. series; it features a large Zoom Air unit at the heel, Flywire throughout the upper, and micro-blade tread outsole pattern – all of which delivers the top-flight performance that Nike Kobe signature shoes have offered for over a decade.

The Nike Kobe AD Mid releases in all five colorways on August 24th on Nike SNKRS and select Nike Basketball retailers for $150.
