Carissa Navarro’s favorite things are dancing, her stuffed dog, her family, and pizza. With the help of Nike, Jordan Brand, and the Doernbecher hospital all of those things came together to create a one-of-a-kind Air Jordan 12 model a part of Nike’s 2017 Doernbecher Freestyle collection. Navarro was born without kidneys, and before she could begin dialysis, her twin sister Savannah kept her alive when they were in the womb together. Carissa honored her twin by placing her name on the left heel tab of this special sneaker. The black and pink colorways provides a bold look that would be a welcomed addition to any sneakerhead’s collection, while the addition of items like a pizza lace lock add a fun touch.
