The return of retro color schemes will always be a welcomed addition to Nike’s expansive arsenal, and that concept is being practiced once again on the 1991 Air Huarache. Dressed in “Purple Punch”, the Beaverton Brand utilizes a mixture of purple, white, and black, creating a clean aesthetic that should excite nostalgic Swoosh fans. In 2016, Nike released a very similar iteration that boasted some slight modifications from the original, the likes of mesh replacing nylon on the toe box and standard Huarache logo tags on the tongue instead of the OG version’s unique Nike logo patches. This time around, the brand keep it true to that first drop, so keep it locked to Sneaker News if this 1991 look is something that interests you and expect a drop next month.
Update: The Air Huarache “Purple Punch” will release on April 5th.
