Pizza Hut Creates The Pie Tops II, A Shoe That Let’s You Order Pizza And Pause Live TV

Updated March 19th, 2018: The Pizza Hut Pie Tops II will release on March 21st, 11 AM EST on HBX. Retail is $150.

Pizza Hut, the official pizza of NCAA March Madness, is delivering a hot sequel to their first Pie Tops sneaker from a year ago with some added toppings. Not only do the Pie Tops II order pizza with the push of a button, but they actually pause live television while you’re taking a moment to pick up your pizza from your front door. Working with The Shoe Surgeon, Pizza Hut created two colorways of the Pie Tops II – an all-red saucy colorway and a second for lovers of the buttery crust. The Pie Tops II is equipped with Bluetooth technology that links to the Pie Tops phone app; pizza can then be ordered by the push of a button on the shoe’s tongue. Additionally, the shoes automatically link to your DVR and an actually pause live TV when your order comes knocking on the door.

The Pizza Hut Pie Tops II will release during the week of March 19th exclusively through HBX. Only 50 pairs will be available, and full release info will be revealed through @PizzaHut and @Hypebeast social channels. Pizza Hut’s current deal of $5.99 medium two-topping pizzas (must purchase at least two) will be available through the Pie Top II.

Detailed of the Pizza Hut Pie Tops II include: extreme marinara splash, cheese grater mesh, Pizza Hut lace-tags, extra “cheese pull” laces, branded insoles, patent/suede/nubuck/gum uppers.
