The Nike Blazer City Low XS Is Coming Soon In Mica Green

The Nike Blazer City Low XS Is Coming Soon In Mica Green

First introduced in the mid ’90s before being made wildly popular by Virgil Abloh and Off-White, the jumbo swoosh may just be the next hot trend for Nike. There are few marks in the world more instantly recognizable than the Beaverton brand’s quintessential check — originally designed by Carolyn Davidson for a mere $35 in 1971 — and in the sneaker game’s current climate of loud maximalist branding, the bigger and more instantly recognizable the logo, the better the look.

The Nike Blazer City Low XS is the next pair of Nike shoes to receive the jumbo logo treatment, and it manages to pull the look off without being overbearing due to its slim and straightforward silhouette and tonal color palette. The entire upper is dressed in a fresh “Mica Green,” as is the midsole. The large white swoosh starts near the toebox, covering the entire midsole before crawling up to the middle portion of the upper by the heel. Small debossed Swoosh hits on the tongue and heel collar provide a little extra branding, and a double-stitched toe cap offers a touch of texture, completing the shoe’s interesting look. Enjoy a full set of official images below, and look for these ladies-only checked kicks to arrive on Nike.com and at Swoosh Brand stockists September 4th.
