Since it first hit the market, adidas Futurecraft technology has typically been merged with running-style uppers, as seen on the Futurecraft 4D or the AlphaEdge 4D. Its striking look and advanced construction certainly work well with a highly technical aesthetic, but when brought to heritage silhouettes it provides an interesting fusion of the Trefoil Brand’s rich past and exciting future — as evidenced by the upcoming Consortium ZX4000 4D, a shoe that combines a classic ZX4000 upper with a mint green Futurecraft midsole. The upper offers an interesting medley of materials, colors, and textures, including everything from white mesh to light tan suede, red leather, and grey nylon. Bright pops of color arrive via neon yellow laces and a small Consortium logo hit on the midfoot, and the heavily-layered upper sits on top of the aforementioned Futurecraft midsole and a two-tone black/red outsole. Like this striking combo of old and new from the Trefoil Brand? The adidas Consortium ZX4000 Futurecraft will release November 30th for a handsome sum of $350 USD.
