With Nike going on a nostalgic binge as of late, tapping old toolings in new ways, their Air Tailwind 79 continues to bask in this vintage appreciative moment, releasing now in a scheme so fittingly dubbed “Antarctica.” Smooth gray overlays in subtly textured suede accent a layer of underlying nylon for a clean overall palette. Tongues as well as the midsole tone are reminiscent of a much older pair in their yellowed state, following in more muted design in contrast with the light blue swoosh and heel tab.
