Anytime a new sneaker designed by the legendary Tinker Hatfield surfaces, it’s good to take notice. Nike’s annual N7 initiative, created to promote activity and healthy practices within aboriginal communities, is ready to launch later this week with a full set of footwear that covers the sportswear, streetwear, and basketball aspects of Nike lifestyle. Perhaps the most intriguing offering is the new Zoom Heritage basketball shoe by Tinker, who created the shoe with close collaborative feedback from longtime N7 partner Taboo of Black Eyed Peas fame. Prior to the June 21st launch, we’re getting a detailed look by way of official brand images, which reveals the fresh silhouette adorned with traditional patterns on the Swoosh and heel as well as a thick woven band that splits the upper longitudinally. The exposed carbon fiber plates on the midsole and an intricate traction pattern promise support and stability, while the full leather upper offers up a stylish and somewhat retro take on a hoops shoe. See the full images ahead and get these on Nike SNKRS on June 21st for $130.
