Earlier this summer Nike introduced the world to a new footwear initiative that ticked the boxes of being both functional and sustainable — the Space Hippie family. The trash-to-treasure lineage has since been well-received amongst sneaker fans both old and new alike, and it’s momentum doesn’t appear to be coming to a halt anytime in the foreseeable future. Of the several models, the one seemingly receiving the most attention this Fall is the Space Hippie 04, and we’ve just received word that yet another colorway is confirmed to be dropping soon.
From a color standpoint, the low-slung unisex silhouette is mostly guided by its “Smoke Grey” hue that coats the lateral panel and medial side heels, but it’s the louder accents that purloin most of the attention. The interior forefoot arrives adorned with a bright teal block that runs from toe to the mid-foot, while striking notes of “Pink Blast” poke out through the lateral interwoven cables, as well as the embroidered Swooshes/stitches on the medials wall to call upon a South Beach-inspired scheme. Down below, the chunky midsole piece is executed in traditional fashion in the sense that it carries the familiar light grey skins and multi-colored scraps seen on previously-released colorways. Sit tight for further word on their official launch date, and peep a gallery of official images below while you wait on their Nike.com release.
Elsewhere in the realm of kicks, the Ninja ZX Torsion collection is readying a launch on 10/14.
