Michael Le Though her Dunk High fell on deaf ears years back, Chitose Abe’s more recent Nike collaborations have garnered a solid fanbase made up of both high fashion enthusiasts and sneakerheads alike. This audience has been equally receptive to the sacai designer’s newly released Vaporwaffle, the silhouette’s colorways sure to sell out as fast as the inaugural two.
Alongside the “Villain Red,” the Vaporwaffle will be offered in a brighter, Brazil-reminiscent arrangement. Across its mesh foundation, a Tour Yellow takes the helm, dressing the suedes at the eye stays as well. Over top, layers of Gorge Green form the toe cap, counter, and even the Swoosh, the latter paired with a white printed afterimage. The doubled tongue as well as the laces then finish in black and white, while the tooling finishes with a vintage-esque Sail coating.
