adidas’ A-ZX series further expands in 2021 with an inline release rather than a collaboration. Using the ZX5000, the brand is celebrating Vieux Lyon, one of France’s largest renaissance districts.
To be specific, the pair draws more overtly from the location’s Saint Georges section, a neighborhood where many a silk weaver settled and set up shop in the 16th century. Informed by this very craft, the upper is clad in a number of ornate materials, its layers of purple and greyed fabrics embellished with Renaissance era motifs. Laces stick to a blank white, while the trefoil above and stripes to the side accent with floral hits of pink. The tread and insole, then, to keep up with the aforementioned themes, adds both the French flag and French text in a subtle fashion.
Grab a detailed look at these right here and expect to see it a number of retailers on January 8th.
In other news, the adidas Forum Lo Bright Blue is also on the way.
