While they may have ‘borrowed’ an idea for album art from the single most significant musical artist of the modern era in Elvis Presley, it was The Clash who were ‘the only band that matter[ed]‘. The band’s sprawling 1979 triple-LP ‘London Calling’ is considered their finest work and the cover’s signature pink and green lettering is reproduced on the soles of these Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Highs. In addition to this white leather pair, there’s one in black and another in olive green with button embellishments with a Combat Rock vibe. The latest answer to your Joe Strummer-related needs, these should hit retail shelves next spring. via HS

Excited for these. Unfortunately I get the feeling that these will be worn by 14 year old girls with acne that picked them up at Journeys. Still going to cop though.
