The Air Jordan III has been an ongoing topic in 2011, and just recently, an interesting debate has surfaced regarding the sample Air Jordan III that featured nubuck on the upper. Of course, many Jordan fans would like for Jordan Brand to leave the originals untouched and in their original states, but with the ever-changing horizon of mass-manufacturing, branding, and other grease-ball factors that shape and form the retail market, it’s tough for an OG to stay OG. Here’s a look at the White/Cement and Black/Cement Air Jordan III from way back in 1988; twenty-three years old and the leather on the upper looks to be in pristine shape, and the Nike Air on the heel only adds to the notion that Air Jordan consumers ‘settle’ rather than ‘willfully purchase’. Of course, these OGs (which served proudly as display pieces) are unwearable, but would make for an awesome shelf piece (keep in mind that only the left shoe is up for sale). Check out the additional images of these Air Jordan III OGs after the jump and check out the auction from aznnoodleboi51 on eBay.
