Nike Air Max JR 3M

Yesterday, Sneaker News showed you two colorways of the Total Griffey Max ’99 slated for retro releases next spring, a shoe that was among the last Swingman releases to generate major attention before the injury bug bit the kid hard.  The Air Griffey Max 1 will always be tops on the list owing to its impeccable styling and a marketing campaign for the ages, and that’s why when it came to creating a Ken Griffey Jr. tech update, Nike Sportswear chose the AGM1 vamp as a basis for the Nike Air Max JR.  The latest colorway was shown off by SneakerboxClyde in the right lighting so as to reveal the reflective 3M material on their clean two-toned uppers.  These navy and silver Air Max JRs are a bit calmer than the beloved OG AGM1 colorups but offer a closer match to the modern Mariners uniforms; will sneakerheads be excited about this Griffey release sans Freshwater?  Have a closer look after the jump, let us know what you think and stick with SneaNews for updates on this holiday 2011 release.
