Celebrity Feet: Chris Paul – Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’

The trade sending Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Clippers made seismic waves on the NBA horizon after a week-long fiasco of pushing and pulling among the New Orleans Hornets, the NBA brass, and both LA teams. Although the Laker Gold and Purple faithful hung its collective head at the killed trade proposal that would’ve paired their five-time champion Kobe Bryant with the best point guard in the game, their Staples Center roommates went ‘all-in’ for the CP3 pot, despite knowing fully that their expensive acquisition may skip town come June 2012. While the shift of power between the two NBA conference remain the same, a deep civil war rivalry is a-brewin’ in Los Angeles because the Clippers, once the laughing-stock of the NBA, have grown up and matured quite well and have become a serious contender for the 2012 Championship thanks to the blockbuster trade as well as the key acquisitions of Caron Butler and retaining of DeAndre Jordan.
Today, the Los Angeles Clippers welcomed its newest team member to its facilities via Twitter, catching CP3 walking through the doors of the Clippers practice facility while wearing the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’. It appears that all of Nike and Jordan Brand’s major stars are aligning in the biggest metropolitan cities (not necessarily planned, of course), but Paul, like Dwight Howard, selected the Clippers for a reason; the Clippers have a solid young roster with an up-and-coming coach, and prior to the trade, were just one piece away from becoming perennial Playoff participants. He signed his player option extension so he's actually going to be with the Clippers through June 2013.

every NBA squad had 2 to 3 superstars on every championship team... Boston had Bird, McHale, Perish (ALL HALL OF FAMERS)... Magic Had Kareem, James Worthy (AGAIN ALL HALL OF FAMERS), Pistons Had Isiah, Joe Dumar, Bill Lambier, Dennis Rodman (H-O-F)... Michael Had Scottie... Duncan had Robinson, then later on Steve Smith, Tony Parker & Manu( who are all allstars & future H-O-F'ers). Even KG, Paul Pierce or Ray Allen didnt win a championship til they all teamed up (Future H-O-F'ers)... So of course kobe needs another big name... jus like shaq needed him, he needed shaq... then add gasol... so dats why u see all them dudes in Miami & New York & Now da Clippers teamin up good players to get da trophy... and da man has 5 rings.. its kinda hard to b overrated when u have rings... lbj been in da league 9 yrs, 2 mvps 2, scorin titles, 2 finals appearances, no rings... now im not a kobe fan, but right now mr james is da most overrated dude out there

definitely gonna miss the hornet theme on the cp line...red white and blue, clean as it is, is not that exciting imo :( felt like the 3 jb stars had good balance in terms of providing different cw (based on their respective team colors) on their lines of products -- cp with aqua and purple, wade with red white black, and melo with orange and blue...now it's kinda thrown off. i hope jb keeps giving us some hornets cw for cp's shoes
