Celebrity Feet: Chris Paul – Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’
The trade sending Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Clippers made seismic waves on the NBA horizon after a week-long fiasco of pushing and pulling among the New Orleans Hornets, the NBA brass, and both LA teams. Although the Laker Gold and Purple faithful hung its collective head at the killed trade proposal that would’ve paired their five-time champion Kobe Bryant with the best point guard in the game, their Staples Center roommates went ‘all-in’ for the CP3 pot, despite knowing fully that their expensive acquisition may skip town come June 2012. While the shift of power between the two NBA conference remain the same, a deep civil war rivalry is a-brewin’ in Los Angeles because the Clippers, once the laughing-stock of the NBA, have grown up and matured quite well and have become a serious contender for the 2012 Championship thanks to the blockbuster trade as well as the key acquisitions of Caron Butler and retaining of DeAndre Jordan.
Today, the Los Angeles Clippers welcomed its newest team member to its facilities via Twitter, catching CP3 walking through the doors of the Clippers practice facility while wearing the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’. It appears that all of Nike and Jordan Brand’s major stars are aligning in the biggest metropolitan cities (not necessarily planned, of course), but Paul, like Dwight Howard, selected the Clippers for a reason; the Clippers have a solid young roster with an up-and-coming coach, and prior to the trade, were just one piece away from becoming perennial Playoff participants. Does the Chris Paul trade send them over the top? Tell us your thoughts after the jump and checking out CP3 in his Concords, and let us know if the new Blue/Red/White theme will bring some energy to the Jordan CP3 signature line.
He signed his player option extension so he's actually going to be with the Clippers through June 2013.
its called Men's Swingman Jumpsuit Jacket Black & White and you can get it from nike.com or anywhere Jordan Brand is sold!
So he's not going to wear a gold and purple uniform. Lakers are in f@@kn trouble. They need to land dwight. To save them after trading odom to mavs.
With all those stacked rosters, it's hilarious how Kobe needs another superstar to win lol. No wonder he's the most overrated in the history of the game.
every NBA squad had 2 to 3 superstars on every championship team... Boston had Bird, McHale, Perish (ALL HALL OF FAMERS)... Magic Had Kareem, James Worthy (AGAIN ALL HALL OF FAMERS), Pistons Had Isiah, Joe Dumar, Bill Lambier, Dennis Rodman (H-O-F)... Michael Had Scottie... Duncan had Robinson, then later on Steve Smith, Tony Parker & Manu( who are all allstars & future H-O-F'ers). Even KG, Paul Pierce or Ray Allen didnt win a championship til they all teamed up (Future H-O-F'ers)... So of course kobe needs another big name... jus like shaq needed him, he needed shaq... then add gasol... so dats why u see all them dudes in Miami & New York & Now da Clippers teamin up good players to get da trophy... and da man has 5 rings.. its kinda hard to b overrated when u have rings... lbj been in da league 9 yrs, 2 mvps 2, scorin titles, 2 finals appearances, no rings... now im not a kobe fan, but right now mr james is da most overrated dude out there
i agree lebron is overrated and it served him right tht he lost, he made the trade bigger than what it was, u dnt see cp3 on espn talkin bout he takin his talents to la or havin a party before the season starts. it wud of been nothing but a normal trade if he watched himself... the way he acted during the trade was horrible, he was showboatin and won NOTHING the best team on paper were losers b/c of karma and how he just said fuck clevland...... he promised them a chip thts like breakin up with ur wife of 8 years after u said u wanted children for a big tit stripper...... and she has a tail u aint kno about lmao
excuse me, but Lebron & Wade are NOT legends yet... Wade is more of a legend then bron anyway. HE GOT A RING & brought a championship to a team that didnt have 1. Lebron cant say that.... And Bynum is NOT an all star, hes never been an all star.. U cant b an all star when u only play 40 to 50 games a yr wit all those injuries.. Artest aka Metta World Peace IS NOT da best defender in da league anymore. I think theirs a guy in Orlando named Dwight Howard who is da 3 time defendin defensive player of da yr... and Gasol is NOT a dominant player.. if u watched da west conf semi's, u can tell Dirk & Tyson Chandler were shoutin pau down.. Dominant players dont get shout down fa 4 sweepin games in a row.. i dont like Kobe, but i respect his game enuf to kno he's been doin his thing fa a long time.. people said he couldn win another championship witout Shaq, well he got 2 of them since
lol doesn't kobe have Gasol and Bynum, the two dominant all star bigs in the league? What about the best D in the league Artest? You nutthuggers are hilarious whenever talkin about bball as if u know some shit cuz it's really full of shit n excuses lol. Put the true legends like Larry, Magic, Wade, Lebron, Jordan, Jerry West, James Worthy, Ray Allen etc in the Lakers. bet they'd win multiple champs with the current stacked rosters. No team in the league has dominant inside as the Lakers so face it that Kobe is overrated and just nothing but a rythm breaking selfish shotjacker.
definitely gonna miss the hornet theme on the cp line...red white and blue, clean as it is, is not that exciting imo :( felt like the 3 jb stars had good balance in terms of providing different cw (based on their respective team colors) on their lines of products -- cp with aqua and purple, wade with red white black, and melo with orange and blue...now it's kinda thrown off. i hope jb keeps giving us some hornets cw for cp's shoes
