New York City has been the pre-eminent draw for out-of-towners looking to cop the best kicks in the world, so when Wesley Matthews of the Portland Trail-Blazer took a visit to the Big Apple, he knew he wasn’t leaving empty-handed. Matthews took a trip to Kixclusive in SoHo to browse around, and after a few moments of surveying the selection and trying shoes on, he left with a solid list of kicks that displayed a pretty interesting variety – Air Jordan XI ‘Bred’, Air Foamposite Ones, and the less-appreciated Air 3 LE. Check out Wesley during his shopping trip to get an insight of his own sneaker history and his opinion of the NYC vibe in the video below, and be sure to note the special sneaker giveaway presented by The NOC!

That was about $1500 worth of kicks based on aftermarket values. Totally overpaid. LMAO at the $75 discount. Thats how much those KG retros are worth. He wears a 14 but I'm sure most consignment shops don't have much of a variety in that size range. So he settled for 13s like most big footers and is more than likely going to remove the insoles.
"wesley wears a size 14"... then all the boxes he is buying at the end have size 13 on them.... whats up with that?
so many of the pop-up "facts" in this video are dead wrong. ie, "kg's were the air max 3". the AM3 is AM90. and they called the rookies the "Nike Binary Blue". c'mon SN, this shit isnt up to your level!
rapesclusive!!!! the only thing they have for resonable price was a pair of the white/red ajko from 10 that was $130 and it sold when i went to get it
He spent over 2K on those hot shoes without any hesitation just like I spend $2 on a vending machine for a bottle of coke.
so what would be a good spot to shop for sneakers in new york - for reasonable priced kicks that is.. going to new york in 3 weeks..
You are better off trying craigslist or buying from individual sellers. At least you can negotiate the price. Everything in NYC is outrageously marked up. However if you have the money, then splurge.
nowhere. everything is jacked up after and before release and due to idiots paying 2xs the retail mom n pops stores aint what they were back in the day
That place looks ill. I see some fresh Grape 5's on the shelf. I plan on making that trip to NYC myself. U can't be a sneakerhead and not want to shop there. SOOO MUCH HEAT! My wife went for her job and brought me back a fresh pair of Fire Red AJ5's when she went in 2010....I almost cried when I saw them! ...Almost!
i still regret not stopping in last time i was in NYC though. just to check out what kinda heat they got in there
Da old Kevin Garnett Nike Air 3 le are too dope... but Wesley went to da right spot to cop kicks... I shop in their frum time to time.
-Shoutout Wes Matthews! but the '09 Blazers were unstoppable with Bayless at the point, Roy at the 2, Martell Webster at the 3, Aldridge 4 and Greg Oden -5! Add me on PSN EVWT
Im a huge Brandon Roy fan sad his career was cut short..... but "unstoppable?" Did you forget or are you too young to remember the cliff robinson, drexler and terry porter blazers?
Even in the 90s when its was rasheed wallace, damon, isaiah rider, jermaine oneal, brian grant, jim jackson with the 3s, sabonis, brian shaw... man they had a squad thats when they were the best... Im not a portland fan Im a laker fan and i remember them going at it... But to me thats when they were at there best especially Isaiah rider
With Rod Strickland too, and Duckworth, and Jerome Kersey...My man Omar knows whats up!!
I guess Portland won the championship in '09 then...cuz they were unstoppable? LOF'NL and smh. Oden at the 5..good stuff man, good stuff!
Maybe I shoud've made it clear for the corresponding cynics... I was referring to 2K. But also in real life no team wanted to play them including Lakers, Spurs, and OKC during the years of 2009-2011 And yes Oden at the 5. Prior to his reoccurring injuries he was beast like.
Not an argument buddy..and Oden has'nt been beast like since early at Ohio State. Please seperate Real Life from f'n video games. Are you serious though? No team wanted to play them? Your obviously a portland fan which is cool, but be real about it.
