The Air Jordan Future PRM “Metallic Silver” arrives at retailers tomorrow, July 26th, 2014. jordan shine release reminder 01 Jordan Shine Release Reminder

The Air Jordan Shine will debut this Saturday, July 26th, 2014. The shoe has made news for its price point more so than its design – and at $400 it will be the single most expensive sneaker release in Jumpman history. But that doesn’t mean that the luxurious all leather upper with unique woven side panels won’t compete with other JB releases this weekend for a place in your collection. With two monochromatic looks in an eye-catching red or simple black, the silhouette went from a rumored Barneys exclusive to an eventual distribution that will have them at boutiques and big box stores. Continue onward for more from these two Jordan Shine pairs and let us know if you plan on grabbing the premium Air Jordan 1-inspired model when they arrive at select retailers like Packer Shoes this weekend.

air jordan 3lab 5 black metallic release reminder 01 Air Jordan 3Lab5 Black/Metallic Release Reminder

The Air Jordan 3Lab5 “Black/Metallic” will release tomorrow, July 26th, 2014. The sneaker is a surprising addition to the Jordan Lab series after the Air Jordan 5′s run last year was seemingly over, leaving many to believe that the Air Jordan 3Lab5 was going back into the archives. Luckily, we get the OG-like treatment atop the Air Jordan 3 x Air Jordan 5 mashup that dresses the upper in an all black elephant print while accents of metallic silver hit the shark teeth and midsole to contrast against the icy outsole. Find your pair at select retailers like Ubiq or see if you can secure your pair early on eBay.

Next up will be sport blue, which is found on the bottom of this upcoming pair. jordan brand history Inside Access to the History of Jordan Brand

The cultural giant known as Jordan Brand all started with one man – Michael Jordan. As we all know, Nike began a signature line of footwear for the Chicago Bulls star, and after eleven groundbreaking models, the entire wing devoted to the basketball star became its own wholly-owned subsidiary called Jordan Brand. It immediately spread its reach to a number of other dominant athletes in other sports – Derek Jeter (baseball), Randy Moss (football), and Roy Jones Jr. (boxing). Since then, Jordan Brand has evolved into an empire, covering an incredibly wide range of sports while maintaining its hold as the driving force of the sneaker culture. Enjoy this pictorial spread covering Jordan Brand’s expansive growth, and check out Nike Inc. for the full Inside Access piece on the history of Jordan Brand.
