releasing this weekend september 20 Sneakers Releasing This Weekend September 20th, 2014

The work week is almost over, which means we’re back with another rundown of the latest sneakers headed to retail shelves this weekend. While the Air Jordan 14 had a more than formidable summer, the shoe will close things out with the original Air Jordan 14 “Black Toe” returning to its one-piece leather roots. That won’t be the only Jumpman release, as they’ll nod at their longest tenured athlete in Derek Jeter with a pinstriped Air Jordan 1 as he comes closer to hanging up his cleats. This weekend will be a big one for the Nike Air Huarache too, as two brand new black and red based colorways will be arriving in the “Love/Hate” Pack. Check out a full rundown of the latest batch of sneakers releasing this weekend and let us know which pair you plan on grabbing in the comments section.

air jordan 1 jeter release date 11 570x386 Air Jordan Jeter Collection Release Reminder

The Air Jordan Jeter Collection will release tomorrow, September 20th, 2014. With the Derek Jeter farewell tour coming to a close, Jordan Brand will honor its longest tenured athlete with its own parting gift – an exclusive Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG featuring those signature Yankee pinstripes and a premium gold finish. The tongue even gets its own exclusive Jeter logo in a crest set to look like home plate. The real surprise here is the inclusion of the Jordan Flight Flex Trainer given an equal colorway to match, but then again the Jumpman has been pushing its training series throughout the warmer months. Are you excited about this Derek Jeter reference? Check out more info after the click and stay tuned for more Jordan release dates right here on Sneaker News.

Air Jordan 14 “Black Toe” – Release Reminder

September 19th, 2014 by | 9 comments

air jordan 14 black toe release reminder 01 Air Jordan 14 Black Toe Release Reminder

The Air Jordan 14 “Black Toe” is headed to retailers Saturday, September 20th, 2014. While the Ferrari pair may have had more of a following thanks to its fire-like appearance that utilized a premium suede one-piece construction, Jordan Brand doesn’t want you to forget about the original one-piece upper in this Air Jordan 14 in an OG colorway. Sure, the “Black Toe” lineage has been rather discombobulated by another rendition in 2006 that features the monicker yet had the added perforated side panels to match other XIV releases, but we’re happy to see it return to its roots. All roads have led up to this release as we’ve gotten three brand new colorways in the Thunder, Sport Blue, and Ferrari, and this pair should finish off the retros of Mike’s last signature as a Chicago Bull for this year. Continue onward for one last look at this Air Jordan 14 retro and secure your pair at select retailers like Wish ATL or try your luck early on eBay.

Air Jordan Future Low “University Blue” Preview

air jordan future low university blue Air Jordan Future Low University Blue Preview

The Air Jordan 11 “Columbia” isn’t the only Jordan Brand pair coming up that will wear a Tarheels style colorway. The Air Jordan Future Low, a silhouette that is still without a solid release date, looks to be doing so as well in the future with this “University Blue” version. Obviously these are much more dedicated to the blue end of the spectrum than the aforementioned Jordan 11 with their full on blue mesh upper. Have another peak at this early catalog rendering of the Air Jordan Future Low “University Blue” below and tell us if it’s a sneaker you’re looking forward to purchasing.

Air Jordan 6 “60/40″ Unreleased Sample

airjordan 6 black red leather suede sample Air Jordan 6 60/40 Unreleased Sample

It’s the year of the VI so we know your eyes light up anytime a potential new release surfaces, but this one is a variety you’ll never see. It’s actually a sample from 2010 when a number of Air Jordan 6 releases hit stores, and while the colorways is as standard Jordan as you can get, there’s a lot more to this sample than meets the eye. First off, the classic Bulls look is flipped around with the icy outsole now a deep red, but the true highlight of the sample is that upper is both leather and suede (thus the 60/40 nickname derived by owners of this sample). Check out the additional photos of this never-before-seen sample and let us know what you think about the details on this shoe. Many thanks to Index Portland.

Another Look at the Air Jordan 13 “Black/Red” For Holiday 2014

air jordan 13 black red holiday 2014 another look 01 570x424 Another Look at the Air Jordan 13 Black/Red For Holiday 2014

Jordan Brand is gearing up for a resurgence of the Air Jordan 13 later this year which will eventually lead to the remastering of the Air Jordan 13 “Grey Toe”. We’ll see a number of new colorways atop the retro silhouette, from that reflective 3M wielding and Infrared 23 including pair, to another near referencing Birmingham Barons pair that features an iridescent patent leather throughout. But perhaps the most traditional pair that still features a new aesthetic is this Black and Red pair that utilizes a premium tumbled leather throughout while red hits on the outsole. All in all the Chicago-esque colorway isn’t too far off from the pairs that Mike actually wore during his second to last season as a Bull. What do you think? We’re expecting this pair to arrive sometime in December, but head to our Jordans Release Date page for more updated info and hit the click for more images.
