nike sb march 2014 collection 01 Nike SB March 2014 Releases

The start of a new month always means a new crop of Nike Skateboarding shoes, so let’s check in to see which colorways came through on our favorite skate models.  Starting off the Paul Rodriguez signature line, we see his Nike SB P-Rod 7 in two colorways including one in all-white to match that popular Dunk Low Pro SB from earlier this spring.  And speaking of the venerable dunk, we have a ‘snake’ style, a sort of Irish-leaning colorway with a croc texture overlay, and the pair with fiery gradient contrast stitching to its otherwise all black upper.  Rounding out the set we have the Koston 2 Max and Janoski Max in black and navy, respectively, so click in to see all seven pairs individually, then cop yours at SB shops like MIA.

Our Nike SB Archives series began last week with a look at those selected 2005 collaborative efforts known as the ‘Team Manager Series’. In examining those drops, we noted that Nike SB had succeeded in the 2000s where earlier Nike skateboarding efforts had failed, in large part because they learned to embrace the existing structure of independent brands integral to the sport. nike sb archives 2005 team manager series Nike SB Archives: 2005s Team Manager Series

Nike Skateboarding’s success did more to influence the rise of sneaker collaborations than any other single factor in the first decade of this millennium. The Swoosh finally paralleled its dominance in other sports into legit street cred in the skeptical, once borderline xenophobic world of skateboarding, in large part because it embraced the landscape of independent brands who really made the sport. Today, Sneaker News introduces a historical segment simply called Nike SB Archives with the aim of retelling the most riveting stories from the category during its heyday. Today’s topic – 2005′s Team Manager Series.

Today has been a pretty good day for fans of the Nike SB Dunk Low. We got word that the Nike SB Dunk Low “Snake Eyes” was finally showing up at retailers, and now we’re catching wind of another animal-looking version that’s doing the same. That would be this legion pine/flat opal/kumquat combo, which seems to utilize the same croc texture as the much clamored-over Nike SB Dunk High Diamond from this past weekend. Don’t worry though, these won’t be nearly as painfully difficult to acquire. Click through with us for the full view of them and then pick yours up today from Premier.

nike sb dunk low valentines day rd summary 570x425 Nike SB Dunk Low Valentines Day Release Date

Well, that’s fitting. The Nike SB Dunk Low Premium ‘Valentine’s Day’ will be releasing on the holiday that inspires its University Red and white colorway. They’re the second Premium Dunk SB to hit NikeStore in one week following Diamond’s ‘Tiffany’ Highs on Saturday, and just one of several significant drops hitting retailers this Friday. Some people were calling these a ‘St. John’s’ Low but the suede overlay has a marbled texture whose closest precedent is last year’s MIA collab and not a ‘Be True’ original. Click in for a closer view and let us know if the ‘Valentine’s Day’ Dunk SBs are among your picks for this big weekend to come.
