“This is how we take the old from new, the new to the old, the old from the new!” Yes we’re about to take you back….. Way back…… into time! While Beyonce and Jay-Z were going “Crazy In Love” in the summer of ’03 the celebration over in Notting Hill UK was even crazier. In recognition of the 39th Annual Notting Hill Carnival in London Nike released these Limited Edition Carnival AF1’s. This pair was released alongside the Black carnival AF1’s becoming one of very few AF1 packs to ever release. The exact number released is unknown as they dropped only in super-exclusive locations across the globe. This tasty representations of the Brazilian cultural and religious celebration known as Carnivale was ranked among the top 25 AF1’s of all time in the recent 1Vote campaign. The outers are a flavorful Yellow Zest paired with breathable White mesh and a Flash Orange swoosh. This injection of flavor on full grain leather captured the essence of Carnivale perfectly! Any self respecting collector owns a pair of these, and if he/she doesn’t then they are constantly scouring the net for that notorious 307334 style number that so many other great AF1’s share. Color code 781 became legendary in 2003 and is a great example of simple, clean perfection.
