The MLB season is well underway and we are only a few weeks away from the annual Mid-Summer Classic otherwise known as the Major League Baseball All-Star Game which will be held in New York for the first time in over thirty years. Most baseball fans or common sports enthusiasts’ know that this is also the Yankees’ last season in Yankees Stadium before they move across the street to the new stadium. In order to celebrate the All-Star Game as well as pay homage to Yankees Stadium, Nike has come up with a Air Force 1 High Quickstrike inspired by the New York Yankees. The shoe itself has some direct references to the Yankees such as the colors, pinstripe upper, and “NYC ’08” lace lock. Look for these to hit select Nike retailers on July 4th.
