With Nike SB’s success in transitioning into skate footwear, it’s no surprise that Converse also head in that direction. The inclusion of their new CONS Skate collection could just be fact that Nike now owns Converse, but regardless of the fact, it’s definitely a good look for the brand. With that said, here’s a preview of some Holiday 2009 releases. The CONS Pro Leather is pretty self explanatory- leather, some with perforations, and in this case with accents of red. The CTS is a skate version of the Chuck Taylor All Star, featuring extra padding in the collar, insole and a memory foam tongue. This CTS low is all grey with an all suede upper, even down to the toe cap which is traditionally rubber. The CTS Mid also offers a look of a Chuck but with a slightly lower ankle cut. The black with red accents is always a fave colorway amongst sneaker aficionados. All of these are slick looking and comfy, no matter if you’re skating in them or not. Look out for the Pro Leather and the CTS models sometime next week. via HighSnobiety.
