Is it fair to call the Nike Air Trainer Max ’91 a retro shoe? The design itself was so ahead of its time – it seems more fitting of today’s architectural trends. Then again, that wouldn’t be fitting of Nike’s innovative style. Pretty impressive to say a shoe that released nearly two decades ago looked like it could have been released today. The Grey Stone/Medium Yellow colorway is often regarded as the most popular and most recognized colorway of the Nike Air Trainer Max ’91 so its re-re-release (these came out half a decade ago) was a big thumbs up to older Trainer fans and even the youngsters who are looking to spread out the collection from the typical Air Jordan or SB Dunk. These have been popping up at retailers here and there but if you haven’t come across them, you can pick them up right now from Shaolin8 on eBay.
