In the absence of Nike’s classic runners, the only waffle soles we’ve been seeing lately have been on Vans’ vulcanized staples. But Nike Sportswear’s going back to resurrect the V-Series this spring and apparently kept going left on the timeline all the way back to the Bill Bowerman-pressed originals to create this new hybrid. The Nike Air Waffle incorporates elements from the OG Waffle Racer, Pegasus and others to form a mashup that has a retro look of indeterminate origins.
