Michael Jordan’s work ethic is the stuff of legends. He was cut from the varsity basketball squad as a sophomore, which only served to fuel his rise to prominence with a scholarship to UNC where he entered the national spotlight. Maybe he trained a little too much, cos MJ got so good at the game of basketball that it was no longer a challenge, so he set out to conquer baseball, rebuilding his body in the process. Upon returning to the NBA in 1995, Jordan was faced with the opposite challenge, stripping away the excess muscle and getting his court legs back and it was this style of training that allowed him to make a repeat-threepeat in his second time around with the Bulls. The last of those chips was won in a season featuring the Air Jordan XIII, a design inspired in part by the ferocious panther, and it’s with this intensity in mind that the Air Jordan BCT Low was created. The Black Cat Trainer is reminiscent of the (Air) Trainer 1 family with its forefoot strap, a Stealth and black colorway somewhere in the middle while the bred joints keep that Chicago legacy strong. The latter is currently out of stock but will be available soon and you can get the ‘Stealth’ BCT Lows right now from NikeStore.
