Can you imagine all the Nike designs that never make their way out of Portland, OR? Given how active the Swoosh is in their local community there are plenty of special releases and samples that won’t likely ever travel from the 503 area code. The TEDxPortland x Nike Air Max 1 would usually be one such design, a special pair available only as a prize at a recent TEDxPortland event put on by the University of Oregon. Fortunately at least one has popped up on everybody’s favorite online auction house, bringing with it some better photos revealing the ‘Uncharted Territory’ theme. The shots also show off some apparent UO influence in the design, with the back end featuring an O hovering above the letters AAA, presumably a nod to the Architecture and Allied Arts school.
