“Matte Red” Nike Zoom Rookie LWP

We’ve been wondering if the ‘Galaxy’ edition might make it to retail since Penny Hardaway himself was spotted wearing them this May (and again in June), but since that revelation, two Nike Zoom Rookie LWPs have set their sights on store shelves. This ‘Matte Red’ Zoom Rookie shares its monochromatic look with the ‘Memphis Blues’ pairs that’ve popped up early in limited numbers, but unlike that glossy Tigers-inspired look and the ‘Memphis Reds’ to which they’re both closely related, this pair opts for a more satiny finish. The result is like a whole new chapter in the Zoom Rookie story and one that we can’t help but think deserves a few more pages.
