Just last week Nike’s legendary “Just Do It” slogan turned 25 years old. The phrase has fallen out of use in the Nike corporate vocab since its heyday, but it still stands as one of their most memorable campaigns and no doubt one that familiarized quite a few folks with the Nike ethos. Shown here is the original Weiden + Kennedy crafted “Just Do It” TV spot, featuring an inspirational 80 year old by the name of Walt Stack who very much embodies the phrase, along with a host of the first print iterations of the slogan. See the ads below and tell us if you’re old enough to remember when the “Just Do It” campaign first hit.
