LeBron James Speaks Out on Not Wearing the LeBron 11

For those who have been following our NBA Feet action, it hasn’t been much of a secret that LeBron James hasn’t been wearing the LeBron 11 too often this season. Speculation on why this is has pointed towards improper fit and comfort in the toe-box area for the superstar,  but we’ve yet to really hear anything from King James himself on the matter until now. Darren Rovell recently caught up with James, who told the ESPN correspondent “It has been a frustrating process. But obviously, I know that Nike wants to do what’s best. They’re not going to put me out there in harm’s way. So we’re redefining the shoe to fit what’s best for my foot.”

James went on to explain that the brains at Nike Basketball are working on “redefining” the shoes for a better fit for him, and sums up his frustration with “I just want to be able to wear them.” Keep in mind that this won’t affect the mold of the regular retail pairs, which have been outperforming the LeBron 10 in terms of sales. It’s a rather interesting observation to not only see a superstar player not wear his signature shoe and have them sell very well at retail, so chime in with your thoughts on this topic and stay tuned to our NBA Feet column to track his sneaker wears this season.
