The first time the Mariah was brought back to stores, the classic runners didn’t fare entirely well. After a short run of colorways and a collaboration with UK’s Size?, the Air Mariah and its updated Lunar forms were put back in the archives, only to be brought out again for the second half of 2014. The newer LunarSpeed based shoe gives the shoe a bit more of a technical look (the Air Mariah, at the time, was already advanced in terms of design and materials), with the original Ultramarine colorway keeping it grounded to its roots. Expected to release in July at global retailers, the Nike LunarSpeed Mariah “Ultramarine” will definitely grab more attention than it did four years ago.
