You’ll be seeing a lot of NBA star Kobe Bryant in Rio during the World Cup, and there’s reason why: Kobe grew up in Italy, where he not only built his dribbling his skills but fell in love with the sport of football. He’s in Brazil right now to celebrate the games and to help Nike launch some incredible sports-centric developments, like an entire 8-block area of the neighborhood that will be revamped into several football pitches, basketball courts, and more (and he’ll be joined by Steve Nash, Leandro Barbosa, and Anderson Varejao). Check out a photo recap of the Black Mamba in Rio and stay tuned for more updates from the World Cup.
