The Nike Air Max 98 is back in action. Nike surprised us earlier this year with the return of another all-but-forgotten Air Max model in the Nike Air Max 93 complete with a couple of OG colorways, and now it looks like the 1998 rendition is getting the original treatment too. The shoe had the tough job of following the Air Max 97, and alluded to its more than successful predecessor by keeping the same midsole intact but mixed up the silhouette with an interesting choice of where to align the Swoosh and Air Max branding – a detail awkwardly situated on the back heel. An initial preview promised us at least six colorways of this model. This pair, originally known as “Atlantic Blue” features a white base and contrasting black throughout, while subtle hints of metallic silver replace the original 3M ingredients.
