Perhaps the biggest news coming this weekend isn’t a particular sneaker release, but instead it’s the imminent arrival of Boston-based boutique Concepts in New York City. The shop has been operating since 1996 and churning out some of the most enticing collaborative efforts this side of running silhouettes. So what better way for them to kick off their Big Apple debut than with a pristine New Balance 997. So far, details remain slim beside a few teasers that showcase the model in a soft, faded red with a perforated toebox and a synthetic snakeskin textile on the collar and tongue in a contrasting grey. There’s no release date yet, but there’s a chance this pair will coincide with the shop’s opening this Saturday. Check out a better look at this upcoming New Balance 997 collaboration after the break and be on the lookout for Concepts to open up their NYC locale come this Saturday, 11/08.
