It’s no secret that adidas’ BOOST technology has had a major hand in some of the three stripe’s best releases of 2015. Two of the more memorable silhouettes this year have come from opposite spectrums of the vast adidas catalog, from the arguably overhyped Kanye West collaboration in the adidas Yeezy 350 Boost and the brand’s running imprint in the adidas Ultra Boost. It didn’t take long for customizer Red Ribbon Recon, who made these for fellow craftsman Mache, to figure out that the two could be combined for an enviable custom, one that he’s calling the adidas Ultra Yeezy Boost. Keeping the adidas Yeezy Boost 350‘s upper intact, the usual Boost cover seen on the lowtop Yeezy release gets ditched for the Ultra Boost’s cushioning system. It gives the shoe a more performance-ready appeal while further closing the gap between the Roshe and Kanye’s second collaborative effort with adidas. Check out more below.
