Toronto’s favorite sneaker boutique Capsule has something big on the way for the NBA All-Star festivities in their home city this weekend: their very own edition of the Reebok Question. In the on-going 20th anniversary of Allen Iverson’s iconic signature shoe, the Question is re-imagined by Capsule with this “Wind Chill” colorway, which will release exclusively at the Capsule x Reebok Classic Pop-Up Shop in Toronto.
Inspired by the frigid Canadian winters and chilling winds that can do damage quickly—just like how Iverson could quickly devastate the competition on the court—Capsule colors the Question in blue and light purple tones referencing a wind chill map. Because Canada is usually the coldest section of a wind chill map, the northern-pointing toes of the Question receive a light purple tone of nubuck, while the “southern” ends of the shoe are done in blue suede, leather, reflective 3M material, and corduroy. Look closely, and you’ll also see the suede and corduroy flip-flop on opposite sides of each shoe for a unique and interesting touch.
The “Wind Chill” Question launches this Friday, February 12th for $180 CAD ($130 USD) at the Capsule x Reebok Classic Pop-Up shop at 69 Yorkville Ave. in Toronto and will be on sale throughout the weekend while supplies last. Alongside the Capsule collaboration, the “Unworn” and OG White/Red Questions will also be available at the special pop-up location.
